community news

buildathon szn: there's no better way to pregame devconnect than with our 6-week defi buildathon with crecimiento. the program is designed to help teams scale from zero, with access to the uni house in buenos aires, expert mentorship, hands-on workshops, gtm support, and masterclasses from devin & more. teams that hit $250k tvl receive a $5-7k grant plus eligibility for additional funding and technical support from the uf.
we accepted 19 teams including vaultedge, phi, lumis, damm capital, azex, zup protocol, tezoro, sherry protocol, alphix, convexo, swap pay, synthos, arca, parity, tax-amm, lexifi, alphaengine, shadowswap, zeroflux, and algoland vault hook. applications have closed, but late apps may be accepted on a case-by-case basis.

messi, who? you’re invited to participate in the uniswap cup, a soccer (sorry - football) tournament in buenos aires on nov 16. apply here to join your favorite team by oct 15, or rsvp here to join us in the stands.

recent rollups research: we’re so proud of our tldr fellows stefanos and sina for dropping their paper on unaligned incentives with conner, nico, ben & akis. their research analyzes attack vectors across ethereum rollups and how they enable dos (denial of service). they propose comprehensive mitigations against these attacks and make suggestions to rectify mis-pricing attacks & maintain solid rollup execution.

crafting the cryptoeconomy: speaking of research, cber forum and cuseas are hosting a ctce conference october 16-17 in nyc at columbia. the lineup is crazy stacked: max resnick, guillaume lambert, mallesh pai and so many more icons. register here.
uhi6 hookathon results are in: huge congratulations to the winning teams. azex built cross-chain execution infrastructure. symbiote shipped composable hook primitives. flashfi explored rehypothecation mechanics. unilend created lending markets integrated at the hook level. opswap built american options created just-in-time to defragment liquidity. and lge shipped a dutch auction for liquidity where users get their eth back if 100% of tokens aren't claimed.

ecosystem cooking report: the uniswap foundation’s september report covers key milestones across governance, protocol growth, and developer programs. highlights: v4 hit $190b+ volume with 5k+ new hooks launched. uniswap governance passed duni to give the dao legal recognition. 700+ new developers onboarded through uhi. hook design lab cohort 01 teams are finding traction, with eulerswap at $3.7b in volume, and aegis at $1b. and unichain onboarded 180+ teams, passing $62B since launch. read the full update here.

protecting innovation: the genius act is under attack from big banks. the blockchain association sent a letter to congress defending the bipartisan legislation that ensures the us continues to lead in financial innovation. the community has already sent nearly 160k emails to senators. make your voice heard and send yours in <30 seconds.

zns hits layer3: zns (zero name service) is building identity infrastructure on unichain, making onchain names readable, tradeable, and composable. they’ve just launched a layer3 quest that walks you through claiming your zns identity, exploring the marketplace, and connecting with the growing unichain ecosystem. get involved here.

we’ll battle soon: unimon has reached 60% of its soft cap, which means season 2 will kick off soon. we literally cannot wait. mint your fighters at unimon.app to rip a cig with me in uniland.

ethglobal new delhi recap

ethglobal india wrapped with 5 uniswap track winners, including 2 projects that made the overall eth global finalists: uniperp & kagami-ai. builders explored mev protection, perpetuals trading, bond markets, dynamic fees, and prediction markets on v4 & unichain.
akshat, a new uniswap builder wrote about his experience: “my first in-person hackathon, and that too ethglobal! i didn't even think we would pull off a finalist spot out of 1600 hackers and 616 projects.."

bondzero: zero coupon bonds with v4 hooks that split yield-bearing tokens into principal tokens (guaranteed 1:1 redemption at maturity) and yield tokens (capturing all generated yield until expiration). built natively on v4 for unprecedented liquidity efficiency. built by sudeep.

uniperp: a virtual amm-based perpetuals platform using v4 hooks, lighthouse, and pyth. traders can open leveraged positions without external liquidity providers, achieving higher capital efficiency and strong mev resistance. built by akshat, aanya, aviral, rudransh.

mevengers: a social mechanism to hedge against mev, accessible through telegram. detects mev scenarios and starts fee auctions where users compete to set protective fees. winners pay a premium but can get up to 50% back, everyone else gets protection. includes mev insurance funded from auction proceeds. built by shivan & rohit.

qlick: a decision and prediction market platform where all proposals can be traded simultaneously without requiring additional capital per proposal. helps eliminate capital fragmentation and enables sophisticated decision-making at scale. built by vansh, deepak, ayush.

depegsentinel: a dynamic fee hook that safeguards pegged token pools from depegging events. monitors price feeds in real-time and adjusts trading costs to penalize behaviors that worsen a depeg and incentivize trades that restore the peg. built by nilesh & sumit.
