Community Impact

At the end of 2025, the Uniswap ecosystem entered a new phase. Three years after the Uniswap Foundation was established to support the growth and sustainability of the protocol, the ecosystem has evolved significantly. What began as a commitment to steward governance, strengthen developer infrastructure, and navigate a complex regulatory environment has grown into a global builder community and a more expressive, resilient protocol.

Over the past year, that momentum accelerated. The Foundation helped onboard 7,790 developers worldwide, subsidized 27 security audits, and supported adoption of Uniswap v4 as it surpassed $340B in total volume. With more than 24,000 hooks initialized, the pace of experimentation and innovation across the protocol has become increasingly visible, alongside the responsibility that comes with building in public.

As governance matured, regulatory clarity improved, and the ecosystem continued to ship, a natural inflection point emerged. That inflection is Unification: a structural alignment designed to support protocol growth at scale and better align incentives around long-term success. With the majority of the Foundation team having transitioned into Uniswap Labs for closer coordination across governance and ecosystem efforts, this next chapter reflects a shared commitment to building the future of Uniswap together.
